About Us

Sapphire is a purpose-driven, Black-led charity and social enterprise committed to empowering the global majority--ethnic minority and marginalised communities--through innovative, community-rooted support.

Our Journey

Sapphire began as Sapphire Community Group (2015) and Sapphire Ministries (2018), where we addressed the holistic needs of our community through a blend of social, spiritual, and practical support. As our reach and impact grew, so did the need for a more focused and scalable structure.

In 2022, we restructured and rebranded into two registered charities:

The Sapphire Employability and Wellbeing Academy (TSEAWA)

Sapphire Spaces

This strategic shift allowed us to streamline operations, sharpen our mission focus, and enhance our long-term sustainability.

Who We Are Today

At Sapphire, we tackle systemic inequalities and social exclusion by working across three key strands:

Sapphire Employability Agency – Providing tailored CV support, job coaching, skills training, and access to job placements for underrepresented individuals.

Sapphire Spaces – Offering safe, affordable, and inclusive hubs that serve as community anchors, with services like food banks, hygiene and clothing support, and wellbeing sessions.

The Sapphire Plug – A digital platform connecting people of colour to services, professional networks, and economic opportunities.

Our Mission

The Sapphire Employability and Wellbeing Academy (TSEAWA) is dedicated to advancing employability, mental health, and community wellbeing through culturally competent, trauma-informed, and accessible services.

We are continuously evolving--shaped by the communities we serve--to remain relevant, responsive, and resilient. Our work is not just about support; it's about transformation. Whether it's helping someone into work, improving their mental wellbeing, or offering a space to feel seen and safe, Sapphire exists to empower people to thrive--not just survive.
